Accomplishments:

Organize and coordinate chemical casting department (chemistry), interfacing with biochemistry lab, preparing forms and assisting production chemists as needed. Monitor and record data on fluid pumps, drying ovens, production belts used in the manufacture of First Choice blood-glucose test strips. Also, various production, pre-grading and QC positions. Followed FDA procedures in a clean room environment. Worked in the second largest kidney dialysis reference lab in the nation. Interfaced with lab managers, supervisors, dept. heads, medical technologists, nurses, technicians and medical sales people, for the following departments: chemistry, glyco hemoglobin, hematology, RIA, EIA, trace elements, LAL assay, processing, customer service, and shipping/receiving. Purchasing, product and service evaluations, research, safety procedures, EPA guidelines, used mainframe/personal computers. Facilities management duties: biohazardous and radioactive waste disposal, storerooms, space utilization planning.
